Got Buns?

I’m a big fan of the Momofuku restaurants in Manhattan.  Ko is obviously my favorite, but the Pork Buns at Noodle Bar and Ssam Bar come in a very close second.  I raved about them before and will rave about them again.  In fact, I will rave about them forever.

Sure, there are many other tasty dishes at Noodle Bar, but I came just for the buns.  So what did I do?  I ordered two orders.  Four buns. In my humble opinion, four buns of heaven.

Why are Momofuku Pork Buns so good?  The pork belly is the most tender piece of meat you will ever eat.  The bun is soft and pillowy.  And finally, the Korean sauce weaves it all together.

Granted, the 30 minute wait at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon is somewhat daunting, but without a doubt, I’d put Momofuku Pork Buns on my top 5 favorite New York foods list.

Have you tried Momofuku Pork Buns? Do you love or do you love? There’s really no other option.
