Three months ago, I began working at SoulCycle. It was hard enough explaining my “social media’ job to my parents (you do what? on Facebook?), but then I had to rationalize leaving a booming agency working for huge, well-known brands and going to work at a boutique indoor cycling company that I swore up and down was “a big deal”.
I’m not sure they, or anyone for that matter really got it, but now I have some proof.
Google just released their annual Zeitgeist report revealing what the world, and New York, have been searching the most over the past year. While most of the top ten terms are obvious (Hurricane Sandy, NY Times, NY Knicks, MTA, etc.), it’s #6 on the list that is making every turn their head.
