Last week, I attended a cheese class and was surprised by the addition of bottomless wine.
Last night, I attended a wine class and was surprised by the abundance of food.
Eataly’s “Aperitivo with the Winemaker: Sicilian Wines with Dan Amatuzzi” was a tasting of 5 Sicilian wines, paired with the Executive Chef’s selection of Antipasti Misti. And by Antipasti, they clearly meant a full meal.

The chef walked through the cooking presentation, which included a video filming into the pots, displayed on the TV screen.

First there was Cauliflower Siciliana & Eggplant Caponata al Castelvetrano

Followed by Pasta con Le Sarde (Pasta with Fennel & Sardine Ragu’ with Raisins, Pine Nuts & Breadcrumbs)

Then Roasted Leg of Lamb with Mushrooms, Potatoes & Olives

And finally, Ricotta drizzled with Honey and Oranges.

Check out other Eataly classes here.
