Last night, a friend surprised me with a cheese class at New York’s most famous cheese shop, Murrays.
Our class, “Murrays’ Most Wanted: New and Notable at Murrays”, walked us through a variety of creamy, hard, stinky and mild cheeses, as well as a piece of Red Wattle Ham charcuterie that I’ve been daydreaming about ever since.
My favorite cheese? Gorgonzola Dolce Artigianale, the creamy cheese on the top left, which is odd considering I typically don’t even like blue cheese.
Not only was the class informative, but the addition of bottomless champagne and red wine made it the most fun rainy Tuesday night I’ve had in awhile.
P.S. Apparently, if you volunteer to help set up and pour wine throughout the class, you can take Murrays’ cheese classes for free!
