Beyond a failed attempt to eat matzo ball soup last night in the living room and an attempt to go to work yesterday morning (which only lasted an hour), I am going on day 2 (hour 43 to be exact) of no eating and laying in bed. Although I do feel slightly better, I’m still 100% sick. Meds seem to be helping a little bit, but not completely, which has led both my doctor and my uncle (a...
Casey, you are hacking up a lung and no offense, you look like death
– My kind roommate, Gunjan, on my attempt to go to work.
February is the Hot Chocolate Festival Month at... →
Considering I currently feel like a dragon with my fire-ish throat, a big mug of hot chocolate sounds like complete indulgent perfection.
I’ve had City Bakery hot chocolate before, which was delish, but I’m excited to try their other flavors, like milk chocolate hot chocolate. I know, not terribly crazy, but my opinion is that it’s hot chocolate for a reason, and there’s...
Sick
I am 95% sure I have the flu, but I’m at work because really, why would I even consider staying home? There’s some crazy unwritten rule that if you work in New York City you don’t take sick days unless your sickness requires a hospital visit. A simple “I feel like crap” doesn’t work here. Plus, I have the luck to always work in small offices where my absence...

Beauty PR is a very stressful job and totally a young girls game
– Former boss
I came to an obvious realization last night - I would much rather feel the way I do when I wake up when I go to bed and vice versa. I’m usually in a restless state when I get into bed and could easily perk up and start the day, but weekday mornings I lay in bed and it takes all the strength I have to remove myself out from under the warm, comfy sheets.
Seriously, I think waking up on...
Joel: I'm going to plug this guy in. (referring to his iPhone.)
Me: How do you know it's not a gal?
Joel: You know what, you're right. It is a gal.
Me: How do you know that?
Joel: Because it only has receiving parts.
Your office looks like it could be in The Hills or The City
– Joel, who just stopped by my new office for the first time. Not sure if this is a good thing or not.
I know, I know - there has been a serious lack of blogging the last few days and several of you have made your disapointment very known. Thanks for that…not really.
I’m feeling a tad uninspired, but will make sure to jump back on the horse when I’m a bit more motivated. Until then…bisous, ciao!
We’re only half way through the class and I’m already a bit drunk…probably due to the fact that I’ve only eaten two pieces of toast and a spoon full of tomato soup today. Oh, also, the majority of our class is drunk as well, so at least my random outbursts of laughter aren’t considered too weird.
OMG
I live above a restaurant and for the first night ever they’re blasting music. Like middle eastern club beats. Wha? Yea it’s only 9:45 on a Friday night, but there’s never been much noise from said restaurant. Plus I’m in the middle of reading something really good and can’t concentrate. I’m moving from the living room to the bedroom to hopefully get some...
